ABOUT MEGAN

Megan Paullet is an award-winning multi-genre artist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose early musical journey included a thirteen-track pink Nectar MP3 player and many hours spent in her dad’s truck listening to anything from Frank Zappa and Led Zeppelin to Whitney Houston and Janis Joplin. After overcoming a years-long bout of stage fright and retiring from a ten-year career as a competitive swimmer, Megan joined her first band during her sophomore year of college in 2014.

The rest is history.

Affectionately nicknamed the “Best Kept Secret in Western Pennsylvania” and highly regarded by critics including the Pittsburgh Post Gazette as a “standout” performer, Megan’s powerful, soulful vocals perfectly complement her intimately impassioned material. Drawing inspiration from the intricacies of Frank Zappa, Aretha Franklin, David Bowie, Sara Bareilles and Joni Mitchell, her sound has been described as a melting pot of neo soul, funk, and pop-rock. Megan’s music transforms emotions and experiences into inventive lyrics and captivating melodies that have resonated with audiences across the country.

Megan has performed in a variety of cities and venues throughout the region and across the United States. Most recently, she has worked with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and Emmy Award-winning artist, FRZY. She has also shared the stage and studio with other more established artists, including John Hall (Orleans), Josh Gallagher (NBC’s The Voice Top 4 Finalist), Andy Patalan (Sponge), Mike Massé, and Jason Hartless (Ted Nugent - Drummer).

Megan has headlined shows at many notable PIittsburgh venues and festivals, including Stage AE, the Greer Cabaret Theater, the Original Pittsburgh Winery, and Picklesburgh. She has also performed at Heinz Hall, PPG Paints Arena, Mr. Smalls Funhouse and others. Across the country, she has performed at the iconic Nietzsche’s Live Music Bar (Buffalo, NY), Art On the Square (Belleville, IL), the Peace Valley Barefoot Festival (Shelton, WA) and more. Most recently, Megan was awarded “Best Singer/Songwriter” in the Iron City Rocks Music Awards and was seen onstage at Highmark First Night, Pittsburgh’s New Year’s Eve celebration.
